Welcome to Class 3!
Welcome to our fabulous class, made up of Year 4.
I'm Mrs Westron, Class teacher and Senior Teacher, here is a little bit about me:
I began my teaching career, 17 years ago in Berkshire, before moving to Altrincham and then to Northwich. I have taught each group in the Primary age range and LOVE being a teacher.
My favourite subjects are phonics, reading, writing, history and art and I love sharing new books and stories from my ever-growing Amazon shopping basket!
Outside of school I am kept very busy with my three children who are 9, 8 and 8 and we can mostly be found at the park, swimming, and dance lessons, getting messy with art, crafts and baking, on long walks or watching films.
I can't wait to have an amazing year together.

PE
Our PE sessions are on Wednesday and Thursday (with Mr Stevenson, our Sports Coach from AW Coaching).
On Wednesday children can wear their uniform and on a Thursday, they will need to bring in their PE kits and change before their sessions.
Homework
Homework will be set on a Friday and is to be returned to school on a Wednesday.
As part of homework, your child is expected to read regularly at home; reading books from home, school, and the library. Children will also have a Book Bingo, which is a list of recommended reads to support them in choosing a range of books to read.
Times Tables
Times Tables are an essential part of the children's mathematics learning. We learn our Times Tables through tricks and strategies, songs, games, chanting and through our fantastic Times Table app, Times Tables Rock Stars!

The children will be provided with logins to a fantastic website/app called Times table Rockstars. Each week you will be set Times Tables to learn, and you will go on a variety of games to learn these timetables whilst ranking on a whole class leader board! Children are ranked on how much they interact with the game and earn coins to purchase new rockstar outfits! The app is fantastic, and I cannot encourage you enough to support your child in engaging with this game.
